
Dan Sherven
Grants Lead
Dan Sherven is the author of four books, including the number one bestseller Classified: Off the Beat ‘N Path and Uncreated Light. Sherven is also an award-winning journalist, writing for several publications.
In addition to his work at SaskGrants, Dan also writes grants for consulting firms as an independent contractor; with particular experience in the non-profit and arts sectors. Sherven has worked in public relations for the provincial government as a writer and researcher—with much of that work having a bio-technology focus. Dan has also worked in digital media as an investigative journalist.
Sherven holds a Bachelors of Philosophy and a Bachelors of Journalism.

Mitchell Sherven
Grants Consultant
Mitch has several years of experience conducting in-depth research, editing, and writing digital media.
Mitch holds a Bachelors of Arts in History, and he is currently writing his first book, on Canadian history and religion. Mitch also recently edited a fiction book which was internationally published.
Beyond his work at SaskGrants, Mitch has worked as a Teaching Assistant, and currently writes grants for a consulting firm in the United States. Mitch has written for charities, non-profits, and artists to support their missions.

Dan is the former Executive Director of the Schizophrenia Society of Saskatchewan.
He has several years of experience working with non-profits as a leader and fundraiser.
Dan has over 40 years of experience in education, as a teacher, principal, and human resources administrator.
